Playboy and Push Ups!!

This is rediculous:
According to the Playboy Advisor this month (December 2006): The question was: What is the best way to do push ups?
The Answer:
"There is no good way, according to trainer Phil Wharton. "We are totally against them (push ups) . They are brutal on your rotator cuffs, back, spine, and wrists. That explains why you see so many shoulder injuries in the military." Which uses push ups as punishment. Wharton says you can strengthen the same muscles with mush less risk by doing chest flys..."

WOW!! Where do i start? First of all, upon further review of the wharton website, it is evident that they are runners and not interested in functional strength. Push ups are "unparalleled in midline stabilization." Midline Stabilization in itself is better (when done correctly) than and type of fly. The complete range of motion utilized by push ups can prevent rotator cuff injuries. The only risk of injury would be from poor or incorrect form. So for the poor guy who doesn't know how to do a push up could be detrimental. However the lack of willingness of Playboy to promote such a functionally complete exercise is heart breaking.
